The Coltejer building is the tallest building in Medellín, Colombia and the fourth tallest in Colombia. It was completed in 1977. Coltejer is one of the most important textile companies in Colombia, and the largest textile complex in Latin America. It was founded in Medellín by Alejandro Echavarría on October 22, 1907

MUSEUM "EL CASTILLO"

Occupying a mock-Gothic castle built in 1930 in El Poblado, the Museo El Castillo was once home to a wealthy Antioquian landowner. Inside are the family’s belongings, including furniture and artwork from around the world. Outside there are pleasant, French-style formal
gardens.

EXPLORA PARK

Come lose yourself in the most modern park of its kind in all of Latin America with more than 300 interactive experiences.
One of the most modern parks in Latin America, Medellin’s Parque Explora is a place where not only the kids can have a great time, but adults can also enjoy themselves with the activities this wonderful place has to offer.

BOTANIC GARDEN

Medellín's fabulous botanic gardens cover 14 hectares and showcase 600 species of trees and plants, a lake, herbarium, auditorium and a butterfly enclosure. The gardens are easily accessed from the nearby metro stop Universidad.

BAREFOOT PARK

Parque de Los Pies Descalzos or Barefoot Park is located between the Plaza Mayor convention center and the Empresas Publicas Medellin(EPM) building, in close proximity to La Alpujarra government center. The idea behind the the park was to allow a place that would allow people to kick off their shoes and wade through the various shallow water pools.

LIBRARY "EPM"

The Biblioteca EPM was built as a recovery project in 2005 to rebuild the highly deteriorated Plaza de Cisneros. While the architecture is interesting, with a pond and large wooden terrace, as well as modern furniture and clean lines, for me the most exciting feature is the silence.
Almost every office, store, and apartment I have been in has paper-thin walls, and you can hear the ants walking across the street.  But, once you step into this glass-windowed library, it’s as if you’re entering a vacuum.  Biblioteca EPM is a safe haven, inside a very central part of the city.

LLERAS PARK

Parque Lleras is the heart of Medellin’s Zona Rosa in the upscale Poblado neighborhood.
The safest and most obvious choice for nightlife in Medellin is the area surrounding Parque Lleras.
Block after block is packed with bars, clubs and restaurants and the streets and park itself are filled with partiers Thursday – Saturday.

This is a playground for Medellin’s upper crust.
